Your tasks
- You ensure that all goods-in processes run smoothly and on schedule, and guarantee compliance with quality and safety standards
- You lead, motivate and develop the shift supervisors and operational staff in the goods-in department, and foster a performance-oriented team culture
- You manage your area of responsibility using relevant key performance indicators, derive appropriate measures and ensure that defined targets are met
- You plan and coordinate the efficient deployment of staff, capacity and storage space to ensure optimal utilisation and process stability
- You successfully implement strategic guidelines, projects and initiatives into day-to-day operations and act as a link between management and operational teams
- You identify opportunities for optimisation throughout the goods-in processes and drive forward continuous improvement measures to boost productivity, quality and service levels
- You monitor compliance with delivery deadlines, process standards and work instructions, and ensure sustainable process quality
- You work closely with related departments such as transport, warehousing, planning, cutting, the control centre and quality assurance to ensure an efficient flow of materials throughout the entire supply chain
Your profile
- Several years’ experience in logistics (5 years, including 3 years in a managerial role), ideally with a focus on goods-in, as well as relevant managerial experience in an operational environment
- Strong leadership skills, setting an example in terms of trust, respect and commitment, as well as the ability to motivate and develop staff
- A sound understanding of logistics processes and interrelationships within a logistics centre, as well as in-depth knowledge of goods-in operations
- A clear focus on objectives and results, combined with a structured, analytical approach to work and consistent monitoring of relevant key performance indicators
- Strong decision-making skills and assertiveness, as well as the ability to successfully implement changes and drive continuous improvement
- Proactive communication skills and the active promotion of an open culture of feedback and learning in line with the ONE LAPP philosophy and sustainable team development
