Your tasks
- Planning, controlling, and monitoring UIL inbound transports across all modes of transport, including complaints management
- Controlling goods receipt in coordination with the operational areas
- Coordinating import customs clearance with all relevant interfaces such as purchasing, goods receipt, customs service providers, and suppliers, as well as ensuring the necessary master data, documentation, and archiving processes
- Analyzing transport flows based on relevant KPIs and implementing appropriate optimization measures
- Tendering, negotiating, and managing transport service providers domestically and abroad, including contract and price design
- Preparing KPI-based reports and management evaluations for performance and cost control
- Ensuring compliance with transport compliance requirements and documenting relevant transport processes
- Standardizing, digitizing, and automating transport processes as well as continuously developing the transport organization
- Further developing transport management systems, interfaces, and KPI-based control instruments
- Serving as a contact person for transport logistics issues and as the central interface between purchasing, goods receipt, suppliers, and logistics service providers
- Reviewing and approving transport, customs, and clearance invoices
- Participating in and leading projects related to transport logistics
- Representing the Transportation Specialist for Air, Sea, and Express
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Transport and Logistics or completed training as a Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk with professional experience
- Solid knowledge and experience in transport KPIs, transport logistics, transport law, as well as tendering and negotiation processes
- Expertise in route and network planning
- Knowledge of automation of (transport-)processes
- Confident user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as basic knowledge of SAP
- Ability to coordinate across interfaces and work independently
- Good English and very good German language skills
