The advertised vacancy is for a post in LC6.

Your tasks

  • You will manage and coordinate day-to-day operations in the cutting shop during your shift and ensure that production runs smoothly
  • You will provide technical guidance to the staff on your shift and support them in processing orders efficiently and to the required quality standards
  • You will monitor compliance with productivity, quality and deadline targets and ensure the optimal utilisation of available resources
  • You ensure that all processes are carried out in accordance with the specified work instructions, quality standards and safety regulations
  • You coordinate the processing and provision of materials and production orders and ensure that downstream departments are supplied on time
  • You identify process deviations and operational disruptions at an early stage, initiate appropriate corrective measures and escalate relevant issues where necessary
  • You support the induction of new staff and promote the continuous development of your team’s professional and personal skills
  • You work closely with related departments such as goods-in, the control room, quality management, order picking and dispatch to ensure an efficient flow of materials and production
 

Your profile

  • Several years’ experience in logistics (3 years, including 1 year in a managerial role), ideally in cable processing, manufacturing or cutting to length, as well as several years’ managerial experience in an operational role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate, guide and successfully manage staff during shift work
  • A high level of awareness regarding quality, safety and responsibility, with a focus on the timely and error-free processing of cutting orders
  • Good knowledge of production and material flow processes, as well as a strong understanding of efficiency, productivity and resource utilisation
  • A structured, solution-oriented and independent approach to work, as well as the ability to make sound decisions even under time pressure
  • Resilience, a team-oriented attitude and flexibility in shift work, combined with exemplary conduct and the active implementation of the ONE LAPP values
