Your tasks
- Development and implementation of the regional sales strategy for the Defence industry, including defining sales targets, key customers and industry leaders
- Defining growth opportunities through the development of Defence-specific components (e.g., cables, connectors, harnessings)
- Identifying and analyzing market opportunities and trends, defining main applications with customer requirements, and aligning them with LAPP’s product portfolio, focusing on cable technology and components
- Competitive analysis and derivation of measures for customer acquisition
- Drive segment turnover and profitability, build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, acquire new customers, conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts and manage the regional opportunity pipeline
- Support, train, and mentor local sales teams on Defence-specific applications and standards, while ensuring adherence to sales processes and standards
- Preparation of sales reports and analyses, monitoring sales performance, and implementing measures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Coordination of local industry events, including Defence forums and trade fairs, provide input for product development and contribute to the innovation roadmap for Defence applications
Your profile
- Degree in (industrial) engineering, electrical engineering, or business administration with technical background
- Several years of experience in B2B sales of electronic products, ideally in Defence industry
- Strong network and contacts within Defence sector
- Deep knowledge of Defence market, standards, and trends
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in technical leading and motivating teams
- Willingness to travel within the region
- Fluent written and spoken English and German
